In the 8 Days Tour from Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga Desert, Our driver guide will transfer you directly to Fes “the old city”, dinner and overnight in the Riad in the heart of Medina.

After breakfast, you will start discovering the most historical and cultural city in Morocco. In Fes “the spiritual city of Morocco” you will visit the medina – the old city, with its architecture. Our guided tour in Fez includes many monuments Such as: the Jewish Quarter (Mellah) and the Dar El Makhzen or Royal Palace with its colorful mosaicked architecture & golden doors. The famous Chouara Tanneries, the largest leather workshop in the city built in the 11th century. The Kairaouine Mosque (the old school of Islamic learning), and also one or the oldest universities in the world, while non-Muslims cannot enter but you can admire the mosque courtyard from the gates.

The Najjarine Marble Fountain and Al-Attarine Madrassa is a religious school with some of the most striking Islamic architecture. The Bou Inania Medersa is one of Fes most architecturally beautiful theological colleges. You will have time for lunch in a Moroccan local restaurant. After you will discover Bab Boujloud archway is that its mosaics change color from blue on the exterior wall to green on the interior wall to spot the sacred color of Islam. Stroll around streets and markets of the medina. Later we will take you to the panoramic place to have an amazing view over the sprawling medina of Fes El-Bali, Dinner and overnight at the same Riad in the medina.

After breakfast, we drive though the Middle Atlas Mountains. We will stop in Ifrane city which is referred to as “Switzerland of Morocco”. We will also stop at the Forest of Cedar near to Azrou, where we can watch barbarian Monkeys. Then, continue our road to Midelt, the famous town of apples where we will have free time for lunch. Later in the afternoon we’ll drive to the Sahara desert towards Tizi N’talghoumte pass (1907m), passing by small Berber villages and the wonderful Ziz Valley situated near to Errachidia city. After that we will continue to Merzouga via Aoufous and Erfoud, in 2 hours of driving we will connect with the beautiful land of sand dunes (Erg-Chebbi) where we will have dinner and stay in a local Riad.

After breakfast, we will start our journey around Erg-Chebbi sand dunes. We will explore many interesting places in the area such as: Merzouga Lake (not always full of water) to see the kinds of birds (ducks & flamingos) that come to live in this lake especially in spring time. We will visit Khamlia village where you will listen to African music (Gnawa) played by the people originally from the black Africa, then we will continue our off-road desert tour to the black desert behind Erg-Chebbi sand dunes. We will visit an abandoned village where the working mineral fossils are, then drive to visit a nomadic Berber family to see them lifestyle.

We’ll go back to Khamlia to have a delicious lunch in Local restaurant. In the afternoon you will start Camel Trekking Adventure, across the beautiful unique orange colored sand dunes to desert camp. The great experience where you can feed your soul, enjoy the wonderful sunset from the middle of dunes. Dinner & overnight will be in camp, music played and you can frolic on the sand dunes under zillions of stars.

In morning of the next day, is better to wake up early for lovely sunrise, after breakfast & shower return by camel ride / or vehicle to Merzouga village departure to Rissani town. We will walk around the famous, traditional and biggest Market of the area exploring the local-made goods and art crafts. It’s better to visit Rissani in one of the following days: Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. These three days is souk, so it’s good days for the people of the desert area that want to do shopping. Later we travel to Tinghir along the Tafilalt Oasis where we can stop to see the ancient system of irrigation found there. Continuing to Tinjdad town where we will have free time for lunch.

In the afternoon we will reach to Tinghir to explore the stunning views of Todra valley & walk along Todra Gorge with its orange towering cliffs, the canyons of Todra Gorge are almost 1,000 feet deep, also it’s a preferred place for the climbers. We will end our day in Ouarzazate by traveling along Dades Valley, the road of 1000 Kasbahs and the land of Roses in Kalaat M’Gouna town, after we will arrive to Ouarzazate where we can stop to Photograph the amazing architecture of Kasbah Taourirt, before check your Riad for relax, dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, we will visit world renowned cinema studio (Atlas studios) in Ouarzazate. Our trip continues to the ancient Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. This fortified walled city was built right on the caravan path between Marrakech and the Sahara and was once a thriving trading post during the 17th century. Inside the high mud walls are 6 Kasbahs and a small number of homes. Ait Benhaddou has appeared in several movies, including Gladiator & Lawrence of Arabia.

Later we will drive to Marrakech city along the stunning Ounila valley passing via Berber villages to reach Telouet village where we can visit Telouet Kasbah built in the 18th and 19th centuries for the powerful el Glaoui family; Telouet Kasbah is a rare sight to behold. Adorned in colorful mosaics and red stucco, the Kasbah had a strategic location on the caravan trail. Take Break there to have lunch in a local restaurant. Then, drive through the Atlas Passes, on the road we will make stops to enjoy the stunning views of the Atlas Mountains and Tizi N’tichka pass (2260m). We will arrive in Marrakech in the evening, and overnight will be in a Riad in the medina.

We start exploring the heart of Marrakech, one of the Country’s imperial cities, referred to as the Red city due of its sandstone buildings. With your local guide you will visit the most famous historic sites, museums and colorful souks, or markets of the medina including the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace and the Jardin Majorelle a botanical garden that blends art deco and Moorish features. You will have time for lunch. Then, continuing your sightseeing of Marrakech By walking around the focal point of the Medina is Djemaa El-Fna, the main square, enjoying the theatre of the streets buzzing with snake charmers, musicians, acrobats, storytellers and magicians. In the evening you will have free time to enjoy the sunset overlooking the exciting Djemaa El-Fna Square from a restaurant terrace. Enjoy your dinner, accommodation in the same Riad.

After breakfast, in the last day of your 8 Days Morocco desert tour from Fes to Marrakech, transfer to Marrakech airport, end of our services.
